Digital Director

Full Time (Hybrid) | Sydney

The Digital Director role at Kaimera autonomously leads and manages the outputs of the digital team and clients, reporting directly to the Head of Digital. The role has full remit over team management, planning, implementation, reporting, financial deliverables and outputs.

Often candidates have been or are looking to be an internal leader. A candidate will likely have experience managing 5+ direct reports and their career planning, and multiple portfolios of clients. They need to own their teams' roadmap and stretch themselves beyond digital to the wider agency.

The candidate must be able to create top-class, compelling rationale that drives innovation and inspires. They will represent Kaimera as an external spokesperson. They should be able to demonstrate success leading large or complex campaigns and team structures.

They will also have integral roles in our new business and pitching processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of digital marketing professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment, providing guidance and development opportunities.

  • Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of digital campaigns across all platforms. Manage budgets effectively and analyse performance for optimisation.

  • Platform Expertise: Possess hands-on expertise in all major platforms like DV360, Google Ads, and Facebook Ads Manager. Demonstrate a strong understanding of programmatic buying, audience targeting, and campaign optimisation.

  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor. Communicate effectively, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.

    Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in digital performance marketing with a focus on programmatic, search, and social media.

  • Experience in managing large teams and their individual development needs.

  • Hands-on expertise with major advertising platforms.

  • Ability to develop and implement data-driven strategies.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.+

  • Commercial Acument: Can anticipate future trends and recommend changes to positively increase our commercial position. Identifies and implements client-relevant opportunities to drive revenue, across all digital and data products. Ensures financial rigour across the entire campaign process. Comfortable in acting as an agency voice in commercial discussions with clients and partners.

  • Client Service: Communicates flawlessly, anticipating client (or CS) desires and delivering exceptional service. Can assemble and steer digital team to service our clients with expert precision. Understands how to resolve issues themselves and/or when to involve senior management. Accountable for client NPS scores.

  • Accountability: Ensures the right structures exist to empower ownership at the right level. Assumes ownership of all clients and employees within digital. Works laterally to encourage personal and organisational accountability between their team and other divisions. Works alongside Head of Digital to manage the personal development of all team members.

  • Trusted Relationships: You lead authentically, facilitating wellbeing, alignment and performance across the organisation. You instil trust and inspire action. You manage multiple high value external relationships. You use these relationships to build commercial advantage for Kaimera.

  • Technical Excellence: Proactively explores and evaluates new technologies and tools to enhance campaign performance and efficiency across programmatic, search, and social channels. Responsible for ensuring all digital team members have the required skills and learning. Identifies and implements opportunities to integrate data and insights from various digital channels to create cohesive and impactful cross-channel campaigns.
